Your responsibilities

  • Design and produce relevant Management Information and Governance materials to assess Data Privacy and Records risk, up to Executive Board level of the bank given the materiality of the risk

  • Own and operate the Data Privacy & Records Risk and Control framework to ensure controls are in place within the team to manage compliance with regulatory needs. This will include ongoing monitoring of all processes owned by the Data Privacy & Records organization and ensuring all related controls are adequate and effective and addressing potential problems. A practical example of this would be ongoing scanning of the regulatory environment to identify new or amended regulations in the area of Data Privacy, Records Management and Outsourcing.

  • Manage the production and delivery of related training and awareness communication.

  • Identify, support or lead projects as needed to improve processes and procedures with particular focus on control effectiveness.

  • Provide leadership to the team in achieving objectives.

Our requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in compliance, internal audit, risk advisory or change management functions, ideally with exposure to data protection, information security or data management

  • Good understanding of the financial sector legal and regulatory environment

  • Proven experience operating as a team leader

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills and ability to exercise judgment with high ethical and control standards.

  • Dedicated and strategic problem solver with a positive and can-do approach who is able to prioritize multiple tasks and concurrent activities

  • Ability to manage work in full autonomy and coordinate work across multiple entities, teams and locations

  • Outstanding communication skills with an ability to understand and articulate issues in a clear, simple manner

  • University degree or equivalent education

  • High levels of proficiency in written and spoken English.
