About the project
Technical Services Engineer – Middleware/Linux
Middleware Services are a growing opportunity for the nearest future on the IT market. You may be interested but you doubt your skillset and knowledge? There is no point in doubting yourself, this is the best time to join up with Fujitsu, as we are currently building a brand-new Middleware team. If you have Linux background and skills, you already have the basis to grow and develop yourself in that direction. Add your inner drive to learn and acquire new skills from experienced Middleware specialists – then you’re the right person for the job.
Your responsibilities
Administration of the service operating systems and databases
Incident and service request management related to the service operating system and databases
Monitoring environment to ensure service continuity
Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
Communicating issues in a timely manner
Fulfilling requests for change and access
Influencing own team by contributing to team meetings, quality assuring deliverables
Adhering to binding processes and way of working
Our requirements
Working knowledge about Linux
Working knowledge about Windows Server
Experience in ITIL processes
Open to look beyond borders
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proactivity, open-minded, and willing to learn
Analytical skills
Communicative in English
Optional
Basic knowledge about web and common application server and modern 3 Tier Java-Application
Knowledge in scripting e.g., PowerShell, Bash
Knowledge in web servers e.g., Tomcat Servlet Engine, JBoss App Server, Oracle WebLogic App Server
Experience in Database Administration (Oracle DB and/or MSSQL)
Basic experience in Java programming
Understanding LDAP, network, and certificates
