Your responsibilities

  • Lead on Mobile Units programme, including child protection, psychosocial and nutrition services in close coordination with the CVA Team;

  • Supervise the implementation of safe and fun activities with children and ensure safe, child friendly and participatory atmosphere in the CFS - Child Friendly Spaces;

  • Contribute to developing and monitoring weekly schedules of activities for the CFS activities including TeamUp and ensure variety of semi-structured and recreational activities in the CFS catering to the needs of children of different ages, genders, and abilities;

  • Contribute to developing and monitoring weekly schedules of integration information for caregivers;

  • Ensure the safety and risk information is disseminated to caregivers via CFS;

  • Ensure the links and referrals are made to appropriate health services, including MHPSS for children in psychological distress;

  • Continuously monitor and report on the emerging child protection needs of children arriving to the CFS;

  • Lead the planning and coordination activities with the team in coordination with CVA Team;

  • Follow SCI’s procedures for the identification and referral of children in need of specialized services;

  • Actively participate in capacity building activities, including the roll-out of TeamUp training;

  • Feed into regular reporting and records keeping mechanisms;

  • Keep track of all resources and materials required for the CFS and TeamUp activities and report if any materials are broken or go missing.

Our requirements

  • Two to three years of work experience in the area of Child Rights and Protection and/or MHPSS;

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of psychology, child rights, humanitarianism, international development or any relevant field;

  • Previous experience of managing a team and of project management;

  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating child protection programme;

  • The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances;

  • Ability to travel and be mobile/work in a changing context and travel to where the needs are

  • Positive attitude towards community work;

  • Ability to take initiative and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities;

  • A high level of spoken and written English and Polish;

  • Commitment to and understanding of child rights, the aims and principles of SC, and humanitarian standards

  • (Desirable)Previous experience in working/volunteering in a humanitarian/emergency context with children affected by conflict

  • (Desirable) Knowledge in Early Childhood Development (ECD) and/or psychology

  • (Desirable) Proficiency in Ukrainian
