Your responsibilities

  • The Arvato eCommerce team is looking for an expert Software Development Engineer to join our agile software development team building Digital Distribution and Marketplace solutions for some of the industry's biggest digital content publishers and retailers. As a key development team member, you will maintain and modernize the existing solutions based on stakeholders' requirements to deliver value to end-customers. In this role you will enhance your existing skills in testing, troubleshooting and bug fixing to reduce support efforts in addition to improving technology and tooling. With your full stack development capabilities, you will drive creation of our newest cloud-native digital distribution solutions.

  • Work from 16:00 to 24:00

Our requirements

  • 4+ years' experience building systems with a modern Microsoft stack (e.g. C# 8/9, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core 3.1 / .NET 5, TypeScript 4 or Blazor)

  • 2+ years designing and building APIs (e.g. HTTP/JSON RESTful or gRPC / RFC services)

  • 4+ years expert knowledge of T-SQL and MS SQL Server 2016+

  • 2+ years' expertise in creating CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps including test automation (e.g. Jasmine/Jest, xUnit/nUnit)

  • Proven experience in authentication and authorization design (e.g. Bearer-tokens, Azure Active Directory)

  • Excellent analytic skills and troubleshooting of distributed systems (e.g. using telemetry and analytics like Application Insights)

  • Strong knowledge of HTTP and web application hosting infrastructure (e.g. Kestral, nginx, IIS, Azure App Services)


  • 2+ years’ experience with public cloud Platform as a Service offerings (e.g. Azure App Service, Azure CDN, Azure Storage)

  • 2+ years’ experience with modern JavaScript (e.g. ES6+)

  • 2+ years front-end development using a component-based framework (e.g. React)

  • 1+ year experience with Domain Driven Design and the CQRS pattern

  • 2+ years working with Agile, Scrum, Lean / Flow development methodologies

  • Desire to work in small cross-functional teams with QA and Development engineers

  • Belief in the value of continuous learning for development teams
