About the project

Reporting to the Head of Group Infrastructure & Operations, this is a hands-on role for a Network Engineer with experience in supporting established and ongoing IT infrastructure projects, including implementation and escalated engineering requests. The role provides internal consultancy and support for regional IT teams in 24 countries. Group projects vary in scale from new builds organization-wide to more regional migrations, upgrades or modifications, and improvements

to existing systems.

The Network Engineer will test, deploy, maintain and monitor Infrastructure platforms for the RUBIX Group by working closely with Group IT, regional and European-wide IT teams, implementing and managing technical platform changes, identifying and responding to incidents/events, establishing operational procedures and processes to improve the performance of the group’s Infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

  • Incident response and taking care of business-as-usual tasks.

  • Network monitoring, logs reviewing, investigating, and troubleshooting of issues and incidents.

  • Keeping CI inventory and IPAM up to date.

  • Defining and documenting IT Infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

  • Maintaining perimeter security devices, routers, switches, and SDN applications installed all over Europe.

  • Planning, testing, and implanting changes within an enterprise network infrastructure according to ITIL rules.

  • Designing, commissioning, and operating network and server Infrastructure platforms within an enterprise environment.

  • Network optimization.

  • Occasionally - work after business hours for implementing critical changes in the Infrastructure.

Our requirements

  • One or more recognized IT/Network certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, NSE4, CCNA.

  • Detailed understanding of LAN/WAN and related technologies in the context of large-scale Infrastructure deployments.

  • Experience in routing, switching, VPNs, BGP, NHRP, NAT, Load Balancing, and STP.

  • Understanding of L2/L3/L4 ISO/OSI.

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure Solutions Design lifecycle including high/low-level design and implementation.

  • Exposure to multi-site and multi-region Infrastructure deployments (support/maintain/enhance).

  • Understanding of current and emerging network design and architecture developments.

  • Experience: 3 years.


  • Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Sonicwall & HP-based network hardware.

  • Understanding of Fortinet SDN concepts.
