This is a great opportunity to join us as New Technology Sourcing Specialist in our Eastern European Headquarters in Gliwice, Poland.

In this key role, you are part of the Global Purchasing team and you will be responsible for the global purchasing process deliverables during the development of new technology components, sub-systems or systems. You will transform a set of requirements or an engineering concept into a product intended design starting from a supplier statement of work.

Next to supporting the execution of the global purchasing management process for advanced engineering projects (mostly EMEA based), you and other members of the Global Purchasing team will support the sourcing of new technology development partners through sourcing boards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with the Engineering and cross-functional teams to identify new technology and new product development supplier needs.
  • Leads Technology Assessments at potential development partners.
  • Supports the development of components, sub-systems or systems with a qualified supply base including: -creation of the Supplier Statement of Work; -support optimized sourcing solutions through feasibility assessments, both from a technology-supplier match as system perspective; -support review and follow-up of the Design Validation Plan; -follow-up on timely and cost optimum delivery of different levels of prototypes; -APQP-process and execution of the capacity verification till PPAP submission; -review of development documentation like dFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, pFMEA
  • Drives VE/VA activities during the development of new technology components as well as on new technology components already in production within a cross functional team.
  • Supports DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) to ensure products are developed for quality and profitable manufacturability.
What will make you successful:
  • University degree in technical discipline or equal by experience,
  • 3-5+ years engineering, supply chain or program management experience,
  • Strong technical expertise & knowledge of Electro Mechanical components is required,
  • Knowledge of electronic components and systems is a bonus (s.a. ECUs),
  • Extensive experience with program management in the Automotive industry,
  • Ability to analyze and process highly complex technology/product requirements,
  • Proven success working under pressure,
  • Organized with ability to attain project results simultaneously,
  • Advanced PC skills required,
  • Ability to travel is required (Estimated at 20%),
  • Fluent in English, other languages are an asset,
  • Must be able to work independent but also team player mentality,
  • Able to build bridges across companies and departments,
  • Accurately document project progress,
  • DFSS certification is a bonus.
