    Off Market Rate Checking Assistant Vice President Regulatory Compliance
    Location: Kraków

    The specific role is to ensure timely and accurate production of Off-Market Rate Checking process and Best Execution Monitoring which are key controls in mitigating operational risks of inappropriate trader activity and reputational risk. The incumbent will lead a team of currently 23+ people, and connect closely with Product Control, Front Office and IT teams across desks and regions.

     

    Main Duties:

    • Lead, motivate and manage the team, handling contingencies, learning & development, backup, succession & progression planning, attrition and hiring management
    • Contribute to strategic planning and decisions; Executing the same by liaising with various teams
    • Effectively communicate with team members on organization strategy and goals required for the respective roles and responsibilities
    • Ensure service delivery of processes across regions and asset classes per the PLAs taking into account key operational risk and ways to mitigate them along with operating a well-defined control environment
    • Achieve efficiency in time, quality & costs through standardization and centralization of process across geographies, initiating and implementing high-impact quality projects
    • Establish and maintain effective relationship with business areas and identify areas of service improvements by implementing regular calls and feedback mechanism
    • Influence and escalate key customer issues in an effective way to ensure timely resolution
    • Representing team in BRCM, internal & external audit reviews

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant/CPA /CFA/MBA from Tier I/II institute with at least 5+ years of experience in Controls preferably in a Product Control or Global Markets environment.
    • Strong practical understanding of Traded markets products, such as Equities, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Derivatives - Options, Interest rate swaps, Equity Derivatives, Credit Derivatives etc.
    • Strong practical understanding of valuations of Traded markets products
    • Exposure to diverse/multi-culture work environments with strong organization, time management and prioritization demand
    • Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills, combined with strong courageous integrity to challenge, ask the right questions, be persistent, give and receive feedback positively, collaborate effectively within own team, outside team and with front office.
    • Orientation towards Quality (Six Sigma/Lean methodology) and Efficiency
    • IT user expertise in working on systems and applications, with proficiency in MS Excel/Access/Word/Ppt
    • At least 1 year experience of leading and managing teams
