Your responsibilities

  • A substantial part of the responsibilities includes the management and execution of the annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) refresh cycle. This data gathering, update of respective documents and data sets and execution of associated exercises is conducted across 75+ business functions and requires an agile and professional approach to manage the senior executive stakeholders involved in the process

  • Analyze business requirements, recovery strategies, critical resources and resulting recovery readiness to create reports, dashboards and data visualization outputs for presentation to senior executives and board members. Responsible to define and implement enhanced reporting formats and construct leading-edge material/presentations that are easy to understand and tell a story to engage our stakeholders community

  • Support the European regional OR manager in maintaining Incident Management Plans across 30 European office locations, assisting with the planning, development, facilitation and reporting of office specific scenario based exercises (onsite or remote). Deputize for situational awareness and threat/incident escalation and activation of response and recovery plans

  • Effectively execute and manage the planning, coordination, communication, delivery, completion, and reporting of various awareness, training and exercise activities globally

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Operational Resilience methodologies and tools

  • Maintain Operational Resilience process documentation and execute regular Quality Assurance reviews to ensure a robust Business Continuity Management System implementation

  • Actively participate and manage the compliance towards AXA’s Group Operational Resilience requirements

  • You will work closely with Operational Resilience team members from Poland, France, India and the USA. This function reports to the Head of CM&BCM, Operational Resilience, based in Switzerland.

Our requirements

  • University Graduate/Post Graduate with 5+ years of experience in Insurance, Reinsurance, Financial or Professional Services Industry

  • Understanding of the general Re/Insurance industry and key business processes

  • Experience in Advisory, Consulting or Audit is a plus

  • Substantial (3+ Years) Operational Resilience / Business Continuity Management or related experience

  • Professional BCM certification preferred (e.g. from BCI or DRII)

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, professional level in spoken and written English language, proven track record of interacting with senior management

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, detail oriented, able to analyze and identify discrepancies

  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously, involving advanced project management skills

  • Delivery and solution-oriented personality with excellence in serving clients/stakeholders

  • Computer literate including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint and other commonly used software

  • Passion and skills for developing professional reports and visualized presentation material that engages the audience (e.g. working with graphics, charts, layout components, movies, dynamic presentations, etc.)

  • Ability to travel up to 15% to domestic and international locations

The objective of Operational Resilience is to protect our people, customers and brand by sustaining critical customer services at acceptable levels while responding to expected and unexpected disruptions and adapting to changes in our operating environment. Within the area of Security, Operational Resilience covers three separate but interconnected disciplines: Crisis Management (CM), Business Continuity Management (BCM) and IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM). These disciplines enable AXA XL to build and maintain appropriate levels of resilience and readiness for expected and unexpected risk events.

This position is responsible for managing various activities associated with the execution of our Crisis Management preparedness and Business Continuity Management planning aspects. Specifically, this includes the planning, execution and governance over risk assessments, business impact analyses, business continuity plans and execution of various exercising activities. In this second line of defense responsibility, the position supports the business and transversal functions globally and regionally in Europe. In our future focused Operational Resilience technology toolset, the position holds a pivotal role in managing the technology and associated data, producing key performance metrics, creating customized data visualizations, ensuring proper data quality, training users and working across departments to streamline and strengthen our response and recovery capabilities.
