Your responsibilities

  • Lead development and investments projects from start to finish in accordance with organization's project management methodology

  • Make feasibility studies as a part of investment planning process

  • Provide technical and troubleshooting support for UPM Raflatac’s 12 factories

  • Develop ideas and solutions to improve the coating process in terms of safety, quality and efficiency

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. factories, business teams, vendors and partners)

  • Contribute as a strong member of Global Coating Operations Development team

  • Contribute to investment planning concerning specific coating investments

Our requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ work experience

  • You have strong technological and engineering skills in the areas of PLC software / programming (preferably Siemens Step 7 and TIA), AC drives / motors commissioning and tuning (ABB and Siemens), and HMI design and programming (preferably InTouch and WinCC)

  • ​You preferably have also experience of design and configuring of industrial networks and network equipment, database design and maintenance, and electrical and automation hardware design

  • You preferably have in-depth knowledge of coating and mixing processes in label stock business

  • You are an open-minded, and proactive team player

  • You have experience in management of technical and/or development projects

  • You are interested in innovating and developing technological solutions

  • You are fluent in English and willing to travel globally

The position can be located in Tampere (FI), Wroclaw (PL), Nancy (FR), Scarborough (UK), Mills River (NC, USA), Fletcher (NC, USA) or Dixon (IL, USA). Also, UPM Biofore House in Helsinki can be considered.
