Your responsibilities
The position of Operations Director, Eastern Europe is responsible for the delivery of our products to our customers, ensuring reliable supply in terms of quality and volumes. Reporting to the Regional VP Operations, the role will manage Plants in Poland, Czech Republic and Ukraine. The role will also support growth efforts and the start-up of new facilities in Eastern Europe. A high level of leadership is required to execute the management of production requirements while balancing resources to ensure that the products are delivered on-time, safely, with high quality at a productivity level to achieve budgeted financial KPIs.
The role is ideally based in (or) closely to western Poland's Lubuskie province.
Key responsibilities & tasks:
- oversee full operational management of the Plants within the region
- promote a safety culture, which aims to protect employees and assets
- manage operational performance and people development across all Plants
- set strategic goals for operations teams to drive increased productivity and profitability
- develop and implement best practice of industrial management and process improvements to optimize KPIs
- enforcement of standards while developing innovative solutions to improve safety, quality and productivity for continuous improvement and drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- management of financial results – EBITDA, CAPEX and Costs
- develop and ensure good relationships with our customers and stakeholders
- promote the development of new business opportunities
- collaborate with other departments to ensure efficiency of labor, supply chain and controls.
Our requirements
5 years’ experience as a Plant Manager, ideally in plastic packaging
10 years’ experience in a leadership role, ideally including management of remote sites
Good understanding of machinery, equipment and manufacturing environment
Technical higher degree education
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to influence, coach, and build strong relationships and foster effective communication with the leadership team and customers
A strong results orientation leveraging advanced business acumen/strategic orientation
A strong understanding of economic drivers, EBITDA, CAPEX and Costs
Fluent in Polish and excellent command of English are a must, knowledge of Czech language would be an advantage.
