Your responsibilities

Job Description:

The manager of Back Office Operations will be responsible for daily running and management of elements of Back Office related processes in Operations (Payment Exceptions, Disputes and Master File Maintenance) for all European customers’ portfolios in scope currently and in the future through an effective use of resources with responsibility for meeting and setting financial & customer targets as well as planning areas of improvement or development

Responsibilities:

• Supervises multiple teams to achieve department goals consistent with European Operations strategy

• Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make processes more efficient. Leads project task forces or user groups to represent the department on delivering improvements needed

• Setting and meeting performance targets for efficiency, productivity, quality and compliance

• Managing the daily running of back office teams above 100 staff

• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and involvement in networks

• Monitoring of all back office related processes to improve quality, minimize errors and track performance

• Planning and developing staff recruitment and liaising with HR staff

• Coaching, motivating, developing and retaining staff

• Driving the implementation and optimization of key strategic goals including establishing and managing cross-functional end-to-end operational processes

• Serving as an internal advocate, you will collaborate closely with Business Development, Marketing, Product, all other

• Operational areas to support all aspects of execution of key strategic goals

• Managing the day-to-day obligations and reporting of performance metrics to internal stakeholders

• Ensure adherence to budget and accurate financial accounting of assigned Business Lines

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and effectively and efficiently prioritize and meet deadlines

• Demonstrate Operational Excellence experience and focus on continuous improvement by re-engineering site level processes as needed (i.e. hiring, floor management, workload prioritization, skilling, etc.)

Our requirements

  • Min 5 years’ experience in a management role in Operations area

  • Fluency in oral and written English, other European languages will be an advantage

  • Effective management of time and priorities to ensure all deliverables are met on time

  • Strong people management skills with a focus on leading teams

  • Sound reasoning ability together with strong problem solving skills and ability to know when to escalate a problem before it becomes critical

  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision

  • Sound written communication and presentation skills

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Highly productive and flexible
