About the project
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of the overall site's IT systems including all IT Infrastructure- and IT Applications components.
The System Administrator performs a wide variety of technical duties which include, but are not limited to analysis, installation, modification, documentation, maintenance, problem diagnosis, and repair of all hardware systems used locally as servers-, storages-, Backup-, network-, time management and entry control devices, industrial PCs, desktops, handhelds level, printing, publishing and communications equipment.
The incumbent also provides technical as well as functional guidance and support to local staff and personnel for all applications used locally. Further, the IT Systems administrator will participate to global programs established to drive business processes and systems standardization across facilities and regions. On assignment, the IT Systems administrator will act as project manager in charge of the installations, deployments, updates of global standard solutions subsequently driving for the decommissions of legacy systems.
This role will successfully demonstrate the skills required to administrate all IT systems used in the facility protecting productivity, mitigating threats, and identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
Work incidents, service and change tickets as assigned by Helpdesk and IT Infrastructure Service Management.
Perform immediate troubleshooting as the situation dictates for any systems operated in the facility.
Install, configure approved software and as required de-install or decommission legacy systems.
Provide IT related technical and functional assistance to all end users working in the facilities or remotely.
Support HMI-, SCADA- and other IT systems used to Operate, control and support Manufacturing-, Distribution and other equipment.
Manage and load server back-up tapes and disks.
Provide hands and feet support to Corporate IT and outsourced IT services providers.
Perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or other technical discipline and 3-5 years' specific experience in related technical roles or 6 years of specific experience in related technical roles
Experience working in a process driven manufacturing environment
Experience working with machine HMI, SCADA- and PLC- systems desired
Proven experience working with Wonderware / Aveva / InTouch
Qualifications \ Experience in Microsoft \ Cisco desired
Experience working with MS SQL
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
Working knowledge of PC hardware
Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc), Active Directory concepts and administration
Working knowledge of business applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Ability to support a variety of WiFi-enabled devices such as bar-code scanners, analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people, thrive in a fast paced, high volume production environment
Ability to work independently or in a team, interact with various levels of the organization.
Takes initiative, self-motivated.
Ability to build credibility and trust within the organization and work under the time pressure
