Your responsibilities

  • Performs all aspects of invoicing regarding EMEA Customers Portfolio, including timely and accurate billing processing, takes ownership and initiative until transaction is successfully and accurately processed,

  • Raises manual invoices, manual debit and credit memos and gathers supporting documentation,

  • Performs financial transactions including posting of manual journal entries, provisions and bad debts,

  • Prepares monthly account analysis for assigned accounts, reconciles and balances accounts,

  • Manages month/ quarter end process and AR reporting (e.g. Cash Flow, AR Summary, Past Due/Open Items reporting, other AR statistics),

  • Performs invoice reconciliation,

  • Interfaces with Printing & Mailing Team provided of invoice printing and delivery services for invoice reconciliation,

  • Understands and accounts for withholding tax, VAT analysis,

  • Releases of held orders and maintains credit limit,

  • Communicates with Site in an effective and efficient manner,

  • Acts as effective team player,

  • Maintains and develops relationships with other Teams to improve information flow,

  • Ensures that all relevant Aptiv standards and guidelines are met, compliance to SOX rules,

  • Works with various Aptiv Sites to identify and develop necessary procedures that will enable the timely recoding and balancing of transactions,

  • Updates the working procedures periodically (SOP’s),

  • Performs cross-training with other team members to allow backup-up capabilities as requested by the manager,

  • Thoroughly checks of own work prior to completion of posting to avoid unnecessary corrections,

  • Ensures all the knowledge and process gaps are communicated to the team supervisor,

  • Identifies opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovation solutions and communicate to direct manager,

  • Fulfilling of team leaders / managers instructions and requests

Our requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics

  • Experience in accounting environment, with experience in handling Accounts Receivable – for at least 2 years

  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, AR activities and OTC process

  • Very good command of English (written and oral) R, other languages would be an asset

  • Experience of computer application, in particular Excel to an intermediate level

  • SAP familiarity

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Fast and accurate data input skills

  • Flexibility at work and ability to work within tight operational deadlines and priorities

  • Ability to recognize issues, attempt resolution and escalate problems if unable to resolve
