Your responsibilities
- Provide professional cross disciplinary Procurement expertise to the BASF businesses in area of responsibility.
- Managing all BASF outsource & strategic contracts globally according to the BASF Procurement Guidelines in cooperation with the BASF Procurement organization and associated stakeholders.
- You will lead and conduct major contract negotiations for the entire BASF group, engaging with multiple global stakeholders, partners.
- Supplier management (negotiations, innovation, development, meetings, sourcing, assessment) as well as market intelligence.
- Working with site buyer/Operational officer community to ensure price validity / contract availability in all necessary sites.
- Work with ACR P2P BEx / FEx process experts, Procurement Excellence & management to develop global SAP system functionality & performance, and provide reference point to site buyers regarding best practice tendering / negotiation etc.
- Develop and implement global strategies / tactics documents based on market analysis & BU needs.
- Contribute to BASF, BU and site performance, drive EBIT and additional value contribution, and provide transparency on progress, opportunities, blocks etc. Actively engage with business partners to promote BASF objectives, manage & challenge requirements as a partner and deliver site needs, Procurement and BU targets.
- Act in a way to develop and support “one team” approach throughout ACR, BU & procurement regions.
Our requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree required (in relevant field).
- Min 5 years Procurement.
- Full ability to work and communicate in English and Polish.
- Demonstrable major project & Outsourcing negotiation & implementation experience.
- Project Management & Business Process Improvement Experience an advantage.
- Experience of purchasing, contract management activities is beneficial.
- You have deep international project management & Outsourcing experience with large, interdisciplinary teams.
- You are highly creative and interested in establishing new approaches to create value and establish new solutions to business related questions.
- You have a strong perseverance in overcoming hurdles.
- Ability to understand and translate Procurement & BU needs into viable projects / tenders.
- Strong commercial / Contract negotiation & management skills.
- Demonstrable workload management, prioritisation & multi-tasking skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels both within and outside the company.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
