    The General Counsel Division of Credit Suisse is currently looking for an individual to join the Corporate Legal Group in Wroclaw to support the daily business in the Outsourcing Legal Advisory team. The Corporate Legal Group provides in-house legal services in relation to data management, intellectual property, employment, treasury, public disclosure, regulatory reporting, corporate development as well as corporate secretary and advisory. You will become a member of an international team and will provide support business divisions and Shared Services functions across all regions of the bank.

    The Outsourcing Legal Advisory (OLA) team was launched in early 2012 with only 3 members and has since grown to a group of 8 talented people. Our long-term goal is to further enlarge the team with bright and enthusiastic individuals, willing to work in a challenging and dynamic environment, developing our activities and delivering high-quality services to stakeholders across the bank. OLA team is responsible for conducting legal and regulatory reviews for EMEA, AMERICAS, SWISS and APAC outsourcing initiatives. Our lawyers assess the cross border aspects in terms of banking secrecy, data protection and outsourcing regulations in more than 40 jurisdictions.

    As the Outsourcing Legal Advisory team's member you will be responsible for:

    • Conducting legal reviews of proposed outsourcing initiatives against legal and regulatory requirements in APAC, EMEA and AMERICAS
    • Collaborating with internal General Counsel lawyers on global bank-related projects for more complex regulatory issues
    • Providing legal guidance with respect to regulatory developments impacting the firm and partnering with other departments within the Bank to monitor, evaluate, and address business impact of regulatory and rule changes
    • Identifying risks and contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of existing deployment routines as well as to the development of new routines
    • Developing and maintaining solid relationships with various stakeholders around the globe (e.g. internal lawyers from other countries and business representatives) to ensure compliance with diverse requirements including client confidentiality, data protection/privacy and outsourcing regulatory aspects
    • Promoting awareness of applicable regulatory standards, up streaming risks and industry best practice across the business and relevant support areas


    As the OLA team’s member your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

    • University degree in law
    • At least 1 year experience as a lawyer
    • Banking experience or activities in a financial institution or internationally - oriented law firm would be an asset
    • Fluency in English
    • Confident team-player, a creative and strategic thinker with the ability to influence and develop trusted relationships with clients and team members
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively; ability to work under pressure without compromising quality
    • Ability to understand, draft complex legal terms related to specific area of expertise and related regulatory and compliance issues
    • Ability to understand Credit Suisse's position with regard to compliance with current and emerging regulatory and governmental standards and initiatives where applicable
    • Ability to communicate complex or difficult legal concepts and influence others to adopt different points of view
