About the project
The Engineering Competency Centre is carrying out projects in the area of industrial engineering. We are currently looking for ambitious Engineers willing to work in a fast-paced, growing European and global environment. The person in this position must be willing to travel 50% of the time per year and speak English at a communicative level.
Your responsibilities
Independent programming of automatic systems (including PLC, visualizations, and drives)
Analyzing and resolving errors on the production line (software troubleshooting)
Real-time testing and validating the designed software (simulation, visualization, communication, optimization)
Programming in compliance with safety standards
Commissioning Customer and End-Customer manufacturing plants, cooperating with other departments on-site in the automotive industry, application technology, body-in-white: welding, paint shops, intralogistics, warehouse
Creating start-ups of peripheral devices used in industrial appliances
Preparing technical documentation and specification
Supporting production processes, providing technical assistance, software troubleshooting
Optimizing device run parameters
Doing customer runoffs and on-site production rump-ups, FAT, SAT Acceptance Tests
Participating in projects executed by Sii in plants located worldwide (among others: Germany, Denmark, Spain, UK, USA, Canada, Czech Republic, or the Netherlands)
Our requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Automation, Mechatronics, Automation, and Robotics, or similar)
At least 2 years of experience in a related field (Control Engineering)
A communicative level of English, both written and spoken
Readiness for business trips about 50% of the time per year
Experience in working on large-scale projects from start to finish
Previous working with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, or Bosch PLC controllers and/or high-level language programming
Knowledge about inverters and drivers and the industrial networks
Ability to read and create technical and design documentation, including requirements definition, functional design specifications, and test documentation
Good communication and interpersonal skills, open-mindedness and teamwork
Pro-activity and ability to work in a new environment
