    Job Description

    The Post deal expense (PDE) analyst handles costs for any activities performed at port not covered by the basic freight payment, examples are; Port Dues and Shifting Bunkers (bunkers for moving from one berth to another). The key is to confirm accountability and correctness of costs and recover when possible. Curiosity and strong analytical skills to understand every detail of a deal and its execution are critical skills to be successful as a PDE analyst.


    • The post deal expense (PDE) analyst investigates what charges, during and after operations have finished, should be paid additional to the freight or oil price.
    • Ensure all claim activities are correctly reflected in financial and trading systems
    • Use a continuous improve mind-set to support process improvements
    • Follow internal procedures for approval of payments and settlements
    • Follow internal guideline on escalation to Team lead, Commercial OPS and Traders
    • Take ownership for safety, compliance and audit readiness
    • Support cost reviews


    We are looking for highly motivate people that are result driven, are able to work under pressure and have strong attention to detail. Do you have a track record proving you are a quick learner and a strong communicator? Then we are looking for you. Some other experiences we are looking for are;

    • Experience in the industry and knowledge of Post deal costs is an advantage
    • English min. C1
    • min. 1 year of experience in Finance, Trading, Sales
    • University degree
    • Strong analytical skills (Advanced Ms Excel would be an advantage)
    • Negotation skills
    • Enthusiasm and Willingness to learn
