Job summary:

As part of the Regional strategy, Allianz will deploy a new Direct Insurance venture across multiple Central and Eastern European markets (Allianz Online). This venture will see Allianz position a new and compelling Direct Insurance proposition to target the increasing numbers of digitally-connected consumers. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, customer-centric professional to join a start operation in Warsaw, Poland.

The Pricing Specialist will be responsible for the development of Allianz Online products pricing. He/she will cooperate with local pricing teams in multiple countries on the development of technical tariffs, and will work on development of commercial tariffs. He/she will be responsible for development and implementation of best practices for direct pricing across Allianz Online markets

Responsibilities:

  • Participation in development of pricing strategies
  • Cooperate with local teams on technical pricing development
    • Provide shared / good practice regarding technical pricing preparation and documentation,
    • Lead innovation projects (variables used, new data sources, behavioral pricing, modelling techniques, tools)
  • Development and implementation of commercial tariffs
    • Monitor competition pricing and customer elasticity (price tests, aggregators data, web crawling)
    • Develop customer elasticity models, market best price models
    • Develop and optimize commercial prices (both NB and REN) towards assumed (growth, margin) targets
    • Develop processes, tools, documentation standards for commercial pricing
  • Develop and implement other models (e.g. propensity models, retention models)
  • Monitor KPIs (expected vs written vs actual loss ratio, conversion rates), propose changes in order to meet commercial targets
  • Cooperate with regional and group technical functions to meet Group standards and implement best pricing practices

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as a pricing specialist (motor business)
  • 2+ years of overall experience in pricing (technical / commercial) with use of GLM models (optionally – machine learning models)
  • Advanced degree or qualification in mathematics, statistics or relevant subject
  • Practical knowledge of advanced pricing techniques in direct channel (commercial pricing, individual price optimization, pricing in aggregator channel)
  • Practical knowledge of GLMs and machine learning
  • Practical knowledge of pricing tools (e.g. Emblem, Earnix, Pretium) and generic statistical / modeling tools (R, SAS)
  • Fluent in English
  • Optional: Polish or other CEE language capacity
  • Very strong analytical skill
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Ability to cooperate with experts across whole insurance organization
  • Results oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, intercultural and organizational skills
  • Willing to travel in Europe
