About the project
This position leads the effort to develop and implement automation solutions across the entire enterprise, with a focus on the GE organization, comprised of 600+ employees across multiple countries, working across the Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Hire to Retire, Record-to-Report, Technical Shared Service and Global Data process threads.
. This position requires exceptional analytical skills as well as evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in highly complex situations. Identifies needs/issues, probes for root causes, and evaluates alternative business solutions and approaches. Understands the implications of different technical and process choices and is able to guide the business, using effective influencing skills, to reach the best solution for their customers challenges.
The incumbent partners and works collaboratively within the Business Transformation, and wider business functions. Close alignment is also needed with McCormick IT, to eliminate/resolve exceptions and build partnership cooperation. The incumbent must possess expertise to resolve critical cross-functional problems, leverage best practices in the industry and at McCormick and explore innovative alternatives and options, to optimize process solutions.
Communication and Leadership skills are key as the incumbent will be involved in many financial and non-financial process automations, and must be able to respond to inquiries from customers promptly and appropriately, as well as influence awareness of automation and change where appropriate.
Your responsibilities
Lead and manage the automation team to deliver value automations, operational excellence, and efficiencies within the business through:
Providing leadership and direction to the automation team. Define, drive, and implement measures to improve operational excellence and efficiency within the team and associated processes.
Define, develop, and implement strategic plans in relation to the path forward for automation in conjunction with other business units already engaged in automation.
Define, implement and execute against the processes for identifying and executing process transformation and automation (and any other automation opportunity)
Provide, drive and support related delivery methodology, customer support, and governance model.
Lead and/or participate in various types of interviews, meetings, or workshops to define and design automation solutions.
Partner with global process owners, global delivery leads, business stakeholders, and enabling functions to drive continuous improvement through automation.
Provide oversight and direction for the Citizen Developer program Partner with enabling functions, including IT, HR, and Internal Audit, to implement, maintain, and manage RPA (and any other automation technology) within McCormick's system infrastructure and compliance with related policies and SOX controls
Manage partnerships with external technology platform providers and the broader user community.
Define and monitor key performance indicators for RPA (or other automation opportunities) success, and partner with Performance Metrics Manager to regularly publish performance reports for executive, business leadership, and customer audiences.
Our requirements
Bachelor's Degree in degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field required.
10+ years of demonstrated in-depth knowledge and expertise in end-to-end shared services/business processes (ie: Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, or Hire to Retire).
Further understanding of global, end-to-end processes across the full scope of the Business processes is desirable (ie: Commercial, Financial,etc)
5+ years of demonstrated knowledge and expertise in SAP technical processes.
Prior experience with programming and/or scripting preferred. UiPath technical knowledge, especially related to Orchestrator would be a benefit and is highly preferred.
Highly skilled at tact, diplomacy, relationship-building, and a high degree of responsiveness.
Experience navigating and influencing across diverse global businesses and cultures in order to produce positive outcomes.
Good understanding of the current and future technical tools available in the marketplace to support automation would be advantageous
Aptitude to learn and understand the capabilities and limitations of the various tools and drive the discovery of available technologies to maximize the growth of automation globally.
Strong leadership, influencing, collaboration, negotiation, diplomacy, and partnering skills to drive the adoption and awareness of automation solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform deep analyses for complete understanding, but then to summarize data and recommendations for senior management.
Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment to solve complex problems; inspires loyalty and trust; handles oneself ethically, ability to motivate, ability to lead without formal authority; ability to influence outcomes; ability to get things done through others.
Technical - critical - Demonstrated ability to synthesize technical information for presentation in clear and concise way, and communication to non-technical personnel and Leadership. High degree of technical acumen.
Interpersonal - critical - Demonstrated excellent interaction, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to effectively relate to and communicate with all levels of management and employees globally.
Innovation - Innovation and influencing skills to develop creative, new solutions to business problems and to be able to effectively encourage adoption of those solutions.
Ability to balance broad/strategic thinking and influence with a hands-on, operational approach.
