Your responsibilities

  • Diagnosing end to end processes to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities as measured by impact on (right first time, yield, throughput or volume, productivity/staffing levels, inventory cost, waiting/delays, rework, travel & motion, handoffs, # of process steps, bottlenecks and unmet customer needs)

  • Grow a sustainable lean six sigma culture and capability within the GBS organization.

  • Demonstrate strong cross functional collaboration and leadership by:

  • Collaborating with various teams and to manage stakeholders identified.

  • Building strong relationships with people at all levels. Hold & run meetings to develop project plans and present to various stakeholders and budget owners.

  • Use of change management tools and approaches to influence people at all levels of organization.

  • Escalate, communicate and engage senior leadership, sponsors and stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Apply lean sigma process excellence tools, techniques, knowledge and skills to generate opportunities that deliver financial and non-financial business benefits.

  • Provide direction and support to business transformation project team members.

  • Define project scopes, timelines, goals, deliverables and associated resource requirements using best practice project management tools and lean sigma process excellence technique.

  • Facilitation of rapid transformations via a kaizen approach to deliver immediate improvements

  • Teach, coach and mentor others to successfully implementation of business process improvements in support of business targets by utilizing Process Excellence tools and appropriate change management methodology to achieve sustainable business improvement goals/targets.

  • Independently lead and manage priority strategic projects.

  • Track the progress of project/program delivery in real time by using metrics, dashboards, charts, and presentations.

  • Ensure clear ownership & accountability for transformation project milestones and deliverables.

  • Adhere to Group PMO and GBS Project Review Board processes and stage gate.

  • Use disciplined project management approach to risk management planning & control.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required (preferably in Business, Engineering or Project Management)

  • Lean Six sigma green belt- must have

  • Lean Six sigma black belt- nice to have

  • Continuous Improvement & Project Management Experience (6+ years)

  • Transition projects (2+ years)

  • Proven experience of running multiple large and small scale projects, across different regions/countries as well as globally in a virtual setting

  • Experience in SSC/BPO Industry (5+ years)

  • Experience in Project Reporting

  • Knowledge and experience of Project Management principles, documents and plans and Project Management tools and technologies

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and capable of working independently and as part of a team

  • Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Highly organized and being able to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time within short deadlines

  • Creativity and out of box approach

  • Experience in gathering and managing client requirements

  • Strong communication skills and attention to details with fluent English as a must

  • Ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to high standards

  • Good facilitation and change management skills

  • Demonstrated experience with rapid problem identification and the use of rapid root cause analysis and problem solving approaches(DMAIC or PDCA)

Process Excellence Project Manager

  • Smith & Nephew Global Business Services (GBS) is looking for individuals interested to continue their career development within Project Excellence by joining our Global Business Service (GBS) Centre in Wroclaw, Poland, created to support Smith & Nephew growth and efficiency. Through simplifying and improving processes while providing excellent customer service, GBS enables Smith & Nephew colleagues to focus on supporting healthcare professionals.

  • You will join a dynamic and fast-growing team that generates significant contributions to Smith & Nephew company.

  • Within our GBS Centres around the globe, it is our core mission to create and operate scalable, reproducible, and highly efficient end to end processes supporting Finance and Accounting, HR Services, Procurement, Customer Service and IT functions.

  • This Process Excellence Project Manager role will help support strategically important business transformation projects within the GBS Service Centers and enable the delivery of transformation programs in the GBS Service Centers that will improve service to our customers while lower operating costs which enables Smith & Nephew to invest more in innovation, research and development, marketing and sales activities.

The Global Business and Technology Centre in Wrocław was established in June 2018 and has been growing rapidly ever since.
