Your responsibilities
Make analysis of customer requirements and translates them into product definition.
Create Bill of Materials, gives guidance to CAD designer, conducts basic calculations and requests conducting of FEA/CFD analyses.
Lead sample build also using 3D parts and orders laboratory tests
Check and releases components drawings and collaborates with suppliers.
Supports pre-serial builds and helps suppliers to debug components.
Verifies validation reports and signs validation statement.
Analyze risks and acts as a problem-solving team leader if the risks will materialize.
Define Customer Outline Drawing content and follow drawing updates release process.
Acts as main interface between BorgWarner and customer engineering
Compile / Customize Validation Reports for customers
Manage change implementation process
Support Product Development team, quality and warranty activities
Support first prototype and production builds, Machine Qualifications and customer events
Lead new businesses quotation processes and changes to current businesses
Participate and prepare for internal and external audits
Our requirements
B. Sc. is a minimum requirement. M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar is a preference
At least 2 years of professional experience is required, experience in automotive in preferred
Knowledge of industry standards and requirements
Very good command of English allowing to lead even complex technical discussions via mail or telephone. Command of other languages is an asset.
Experience in customer contact.
Knowledge and experience in Minitab
Knowledge and experience in GD&T & DFMEA
Practical knowledge of problem solving methods
Knowledge of technical drawings
Excellent time management for own tasks
Experience in use of Microsoft Office applications
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Broad technical knowledge and analytical skills
Flexibility to travel internationally
