Your responsibilities
- The position will provide an opportunity to drive the development in one of the cornerstones of the DeLaval global assortment making dairy production sustainable.
- If you are feeding / nutritionists / farm management expert, looking to expand your horizons and would enjoy working in an international agricultural environment, then you should consider this position.
- The Product Specialist will operate in the area of Feeding & Effluent Software and Digitalisation.
- To improve Feeding efficiency and farm sustainability, DeLaval has lately introduced several new systems to its existing family of DeLaval Feeding and Effluent systems. Animal welfare, farm profitability, work efficiency and food safety are challenges that most farmers face with an increasing pressure. With the Delaval system integration in mind, we have taken the next step in completing our robotic family, helping farmers around the globe to increase farm profitability, especially as availability of labour is scarce.
- Our goal is to provide integrated solutions that improve the working conditions for farmers and their employees, ensure that animals are well cared for, while at the same time lowering the environmental impact on farms and ensuring their long-term profitability.
- Main tasks:
- The Product Specialist is responsible for the management of the assigned assortment as follows:
- Owns and actively manages the software and digitalization of the Feeding and Effluent assortment in alignment with the Product Area Manager to provide the full range of functions and benefits required by the product area strategy, the product calendar and the business plan at targeted cost and requested quality and safety levels
- Is responsible for the system integration and assortment lifecycle management
- Create Product requirement definitions, user stories and follow-up in line with Feeding and Farm challenges
- Create, maintain and prioritize product backlog according to product roadmap in line with Feeding and farm challenges
- Actively develops training material and provides sales organization with competence trainings and webinars
- Drives innovation in accordance with the targets and product area strategy
- Lead in Implementation of possible Digital Service functionality in Automation, SW & Digitalization for Feeding and Effluent Product Area
- Support and contribute in development and maintenance projects
- Contributes to successful launches of new solutions in accordance with DeLaval standards
- Contributes to the new developed product tests (with suppliers and on the dairy farms)
- The job has periodic requirements for domestic and international travels
Our requirements
- Preferably Bachelor or Master degree in agriculture/ veterinarian
- At least 4 years of professional experience within agriculture as feeding / nutritionists / farm management expert
- Fluent in English in written and spoken language,
- Good communications skills with people of various backgrounds, technical as well as non-technical including end users,
- Experience in project and/or product area
- Problem solving, Attention to details
- Proactive attitude
- Self-driven
- Communicative
- Team player
- Driving License and Ability to travel, including international
- The successful candidate should also be:
- Enthusiastic and ambitious, willing to take part in building concepts around the effluent systems assortment,
- Passion for farming, Feeding-Nutrition and new technology,
- Able to work cross functionally and collaboratively to achieve desired business results, including transfer competence within our organization
- Structured, effective in project reporting and good at follow up
