Your responsibilities

As Program Buyer you will represent and contribute on behalf of the SCM function in the respective program and participate in all standard activities/meetings/reviews
Secure on time and complete availability of all SCM dedicated program deliverables/work packages
You will purchase component total cost information availability to support business pursuits (flow3), program development (flow4) and engineering changes/model year changes (flow 5) - in close collaboration with SCM and Logistic team, SCM Category team and Advanced/Product Engineering
As Program Buyer you will secure on time PPAP, Frame Contract and Scheduling Agreement availability for all purchased components of a program - in close collaboration with SCM AQE and Category teams and Advanced/Product Engineering
You will also be responsible for; assure capacity confirmation for all purchased components of a program - drives escalation in case of non-confirmation
Support the implementation of Category supplier strategies and selection of best cost components in the Bill of Design process at the earliest possible stage
Coordination all purchasing activities related to new program launches (launch coordination within purchasing and with other functions to meet customer program milestones) – Flawless Launch/Supplier Performance Development Process (SPDP)
Work with Project Teams, Business Pursuit and the SCM team to help to win new businesses by supporting additional cost savings as requested
Leading Development Partner selection (Pre RFQ, DSP, concept competition, supplier selection, Development Letter, follow up) together with the Category Buyer, Quality and Engineering

Employer requirements

2 years of experience in sourcing and purchasing, project management with multiple suppliers/partners (preferably within automotive)
Degree in Engineering (Economic, Business Administration, industrial engineering or related)
Good knowledge of MS office package (especially Excel); knowledge of SAP would be an asset
Fluent in English
Strong communication and negotiation skills; high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross functional teams. Analytical thinking and result orientation
