Join us as a Project Analyst!

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Project Analyst to join our Mutual Funds team. In this role you will be responsible for management of testing activities within Funds Order and Custody Department. The main responsibilities would be participating in calls and discussions on new projects, reviewing documentation (BRDs, CSDs, CRs etc), assessing impacts for MF area as well as coordinating the testing effort with assigned business representatives and making sure the testing effort is properly recorded in the system.

In this role you will need to ensure all business representatives have necessary accesses and knowledge for testing and that the system environment is prepared for Mutual Funds testing efforts (data prep) as well as assuring proper documentation of the performed testings. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining working relationships between MFS and other ops groups by interacting and addressing issues and defects as they arise. 

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

  • Participating in calls and discussions on new projects representing Krakow Mutual Funds Department
  • Reviewing the technical and business documentation and creating ones if needed (BRDs, CSDs, CRs etc)
  • Analyzing the impacts on the changes and ensuring the correct testing is being performed (Functional, Regression, Dry Run, Back Out, Wellness etc)
  • Writing scripts, making sure the Quality Center is always updated with progress on the testing, back ups and defects raised
  • Take active part in all testing activities covered for MFS Krakow, including Swift and Flat File testing to work on STP connections for Fund Order and Custody Department
  • Ensuring the testing environment is set up to test Mutual Fund transactions/actions and doing data prep where it is needed
  • Ensuring all accesses are in place for assigned testing resources
  • Ensure all testing is recorded with back ups and all impacted areas are being tested to avoid any risk of not having an area of scope tested prior to implementation
  • Escalate all issues and defects. Ensure their timely resolution and track updates in the file
  • Assist staff with day to day testing activities, track team’s testing progress
  • Work with internal and external teams (on BBH and clients/TAs side) to ensure all the Connectivity testings are well planned for all impacted parties to have necessary resources and appropriate time to process the assigned scripts
  • Help to test and improve the process
  • Track improvements for the team (planned and performed)

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of industry experience
  • 1+ years of experience with testing/working with change management
  • Ability to communicate professionally with others
  • An aptitude for analytical and problem resolution
  • Able to work with deadlines, prioritize, assign priorities, shift priorities when changes dictate
  • Self- Starter, proactive, and objective oriented
  • Enthusiastic leadership skills and ability to engage others
