For our Client, international automotive company, we are looking for candidates for the position of Project Buyer.
report status of current production leverage opportunities, sourcing plans, carryover parts/capacity, and raw material economic exposure,
work to identify and execute improvement opportunities when budget overages exist in the Bill of Materials,
responsible for driving early supplier onboarding for new programs,
manage launch reports, cost walks, and one pager summaries,
responsible for managing all post supplier nominations/sourcing activities as it pertains to engineering-driven changes,
participate in cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Program Management, Supplier Development, and Manufacturing Site Team,
responsible for the sourcing of new components that are not included in existing commodity strategies,
responsible for holding launch readiness reviews with the entire cross-functional team, which would include identifying issues, assigning tasks, and driving accountability,
manage a smooth transition from Advanced Launch phase to production phase,
responsible for supporting new technology products by identifying and driving new supplier technologies.
bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management/Engineering/Business Management Required,
3+ years of purchasing or program management experience working in automotive production purchasing,
fluent in English (both written and spoken),
program management skills,
critical analysis skills,
excellent negotiation skills,
strong interpersonal skills,
proficient in Microsoft Word,
must be self-motivated/directed.
