Project Coordinator

Role Summary 

Following a recent influx of new business, we are seeking an experienced IT Services Project Coordinator to support the Project Manager with the delivery of our programme of works. The role will involve updating project plans, creating project Status Reports and leading sub project activities. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will work with colleagues in the Professional and Managed Service departments to deliver customer projects and smoothly transition them into the managed services team for ongoing support.  Core operate both waterfall and agile scrum project methodologies and are increasingly adopting a devops delivery model with greater emphasis on using infrastructure as code automation to support release management.   The scope of the live projects are focused on the implementation of Microsoft Modern Workplace cloud services including: 

  • Migration of On-Premise Systems to the Microsoft M365 Platform 
  • M365 Tenant to Tenant Migrations including Identity and Data Migration 
  • Implementation of End User Device Modern Management including Autopilot & Endpoint Manager Solutions (Intune / SCCM) 
  • Transition to Azure Infrastructure Services such as Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Defender Suite, Azure Information Protection 

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures
  • Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings 
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings 
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings 
  • Providing administrative support as needed 
  • Undertaking project tasks as required 
  • Ensuring all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project 
  • Facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members

  • Support the Project Manager with the day to day running of the project 
  • Status reporting 
  • Minutes and actions 
  • Supporting management of the project plans 
  • Leading sub project activities 
  • Management of issues and risks 
  • Management of project documentation repositories 
  • Leading meeting governance and scheduling 
  • Finances and budget tracking 

 

Qualifications 

The candidate will ideally have a good understanding and practical experience of project methodology and ITIL operations

  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks 
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
