Department Overview

Motorola Solutions Finance Operations Center (F.O.C.) provides world-class finance, accounting and purchasing services to Motorola branches in Europe, Middle East, Africa, US and Latin America region. It is a dynamic environment where your ideas and input will be valued and where you will do some of the best work of your life.

The General Ledger department is in charge of General Accounting, Global Fixed Assets & Intercompany Operations, Tax and Transfer Pricing, Statutory & other Compliance activities for Motorola’s entities in the region.

Job Description

  • Manage and drive a number of projects in the Finance Operations Center - GL & Compliance Team such as the introduction of new tools, incl. IT tools, process changes, legal structure changes, other
  • In this process, engage resources from the GL & Compliance team and outside
  • Apply project management approach and methodologies to help with business cases, building of project plans, executing projects, project communication and governance
  • Help with team resource demand and supply planning
  • Point of contact on the team for projects initiated outside of the team (related to mergers, acquisitions, system changes, other) - for implementation to be performed with General Ledger team leaders and other participants
  • Helping with tracking of high level team compliance deliverables, including looking into appropriate tools
  • Driving process improvements with regards to planning and change management
  • Delivering internal trainings on the above
  • Other tasks as determined by the GL & Compliance Manager

Basic Requirements

  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in project management / change management
  • Experience in resource planning, PMO activities, driving governance best practices (waterfall / agile)
  • Ability to build business cases
  • Formal project management qualifications desirable
  • Knowledge of finance processes or experience in shared services environment an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, highly organised with the right level of focus on details; self-motivated, confident self-starter with a proactive approach
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; strong presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance staff at all levels
  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to work in an intense, fast paced and multinational work environment
