In connection with the growth of our Project Management structures, we are seeking those interested in their career development in the position of:
Project ManagerNumer ref.: Location: Gliwice, Poland + remote work (after onboarding)

The purpose of this position is to establish an execution framework on the project that complies with the contract and ensures the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and Fluor profitability of the completed project.

This position performs project management responsibilities on a medium sized, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project, including coordination of design, procurement, and construction activities. This role develops a complete understanding of the contract and any relevant subcontracts in order to provide full support to the project management team.


Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) is emphasized throughout all phases of the project
  • Develop a complete understanding of the Fluor prime contract and relevant subcontracts
  • Collaborate in the preparation of the project in accordance with the Fluor contractual obligations, Fluor’s Operating System Requirements (OSR) and the relevant Operating System Implementation Plan (OSIP)
  • Verify that project requirements for Baseline Centric Execution, safety, quality, cost, and productivity
    are met in all locations managed by Fluor where work is being performed
  • Approval the project baseline (as defined in the OSR) and verify that it is fully documented, updated,
    and communicated to the project team as appropriate, and match to Fluor contract scope of work
    and responsibilities
  • Deliver the project in accordance with the project execution and commercial baselines (primarily: meeting the as-sold profitability target established in the Project Commercial Baseline)
  • Participate in sales and marketing efforts as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements:

  • Demonstration of successful performance as Project Manager with min. 5 years of work- related experience in project execution and in addition in design and construction phase, preferable in EPC projects for sectors like: Energy&Chemicals, Advanced Manufacturing, Life Science (Pharmaceutical
    or Biotechnology facilities)
  • Degree Engineering Discipline, preferable field of studies: Mechanical, Electrical, CSA
  • Fluent communication skills in English (German language would be a great advantage)
  • Willingness to travel and delegate to work in various locations in Europe
  • Strong organizational and people skills
  • Proactive – goal orientated with the initiative to influence events positively
  • Ability to resolve problems and to be comfortable in complex project or business environments
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutions
  • Ability to influence a group of diverse individuals, each with their own goals, needs, and perspectives,
    to work together effectively for the good of a project

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Combination of significant Design Office and Site experience within Europe
  • Experience as a project controls lead, contracts lead, etc. including field assignment
  • Project or area management experience in international locations and diverse cultural environments
  • Good understanding of project design, engineering, procurement, material management, construction, commissioning, start up, turn over work processes, sequencing, and interfaces
  • Understanding of Project Controls including Planning (also Scheduling), Estimating and Cost Control
  • Appreciation of key elements of contract law and when to engage legal
  • Certification in project management suggested, for example, Project Management Professional (PMP)
