Your responsibilities
Leading multiple, large scale implementation or improvement projects both internally and for our clients, sometimes with multiple workstreams to manage.
Core project management responsibilities through the project lifecycle, regarding projects from the areas: data migration, change in operating model – call centre, processing centres – new ways of working, web site launches / changes, developing App for mobile, implementing chat bots, digital transformation, IT system changes.
Supporting and driving a client focused culture in the team and ensure that continuous improvement and excellent customer experience are at the heart of all activity.
Proactively identifying areas of process improvement and drive change in order to implement these improvements.
Coaching and mentoring of other PM’s in the team, sharing experience and best practice and providing feedback to support their development.
Working closely with and deputising for the Programme Managers as and when required.
Working closely with Senior Leaders to understand the business and be fully conversant with quality requirements within the service .and facilitate the ongoing development of the contract strategy.
Maintenance of strong, open, day-to-day relationships across Capita and our clients.
Managing a project or projects from conception to completion.
Creation and maintenance of key project documentation such as PIDs, Project Plans and RAIDs.
Governance framework approach, stage and quality gates management using Capita’s own Evolve Methodology (based on PRINCE2).
Interacting with clients and internal teams, preparing for and chairing internal and external steering groups.
Tracking progress against planned deliverables using ePMO.
Project financial, quality and benefits management and tracking.
Resource management across the project team.
Management of risks, issues and change controls.
Project assurance activities and project closure.
Our requirements
Min. 3 years of experience in project management in a finance industry (e.g. data migration, web site launches, developing apps, digital transformation, IT system changes)
Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management qualification.
Experience in general use of core apps in particular MS Project, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Knowledge and experience of Project Management administration systems (e.g. ePMO, Planview, Clarity etc.).
Strong Communication Skills with the ability to flex style and approach to the situation, both written and verbally.
Ability to work to strict deadlines and to time manage and prioritise whilst working in a pressurised environment.
Very good command of English, minimum C1 level.
Optional
Pensions administration/environment experience or similar an advantage.
Industry Standard Qualifications E.g. Six Sigma, ITIL, would be an asset.
