Project / Product Engineer

Your responsibilities

• PBOM & PDS creation and maintenance

• BOM generation and maintenance up to production release (including internal part number generation)

• DFMEA (lead activity or acquire if not design responsible)

• Design reviews & DFM / DFA Assessments

• Ensure designs and tooling feasible and meet the design criteria

• Drawing generation and release internally and to suppliers

• Data release internally and to suppliers

• Support tooling and part quotations

• Management of tooling manufacture

• Management of gauge/checking fixture manufacture

• DVP&R management (involvement customer specific)

• Support builds at manufacturing site and customer facility

• Manage flow of work/data between customer and supplier

• Participating in project meetings

• Cascading project information to CAD team

• Managing dedicated CAD engineers

Purpose of Job

To work with the customer Engineers & Designers to deliver a product that meets the customer expectations of cost, functionality and quality whilst delivering from a DFM and DFA point of view for the plant. To steer the design in a direction that meets the business requirements of cost, profit targets. Guide design regarding tooling feasibility and quality. Be able to recommend materials as and when required. Key interface between the business and the customer from inception to J1+90
