Your responsibilities

  • Ensure flawless launches to achieve customer satisfaction during project phase for all quality topics

  • Execute and ensure customer APQP in accordance to the KA KBD and /or PIP process or customer specific requirements

  • Guarantee product and support process quality according customer requirements before “Start of Production”

  • Identify opportunities and initiate quality improvements within KBD and /or PIP

  • Conduct project audits to ensure execution of the projects is in line with KBD, Customer Specific Requirements and KA processes and procedures

  • Ensure the RVS and CSR reviews are conducted with a cross functional team to ensure all known requirements are fully understood prior to quotation being agreed and submitted to customer.

  • Serve as the interface with the customer regarding quality during project phase including Customer APQP / PPAP liaison for KBD and PIP

  • Finalize quality tasks in the project phase due to customer time schedule

  • Identification of improvement opportunities in KBD, PIP plus PPM & PLM processes

  • Escalate deviations and findings to appropriate level of management

  • Support the plant quality engineer as needed

Our requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent

  • Business and finance basics

  • Required – Minimum 5 years experience in quality, combining development and production automotive, not less than a T1 level

  • Knowledge of the automotive industry

  • Additionally, preferred – Six Sigma, Lead Auditor

  • Fully fluent in English + language of the relevant CFT

  • Result and teamwork orientation

  • Experience and success managing a functional network

  • International quality standards awareness, understanding and application

  • Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications

  • Effective customer relationship building

Personal Tasks

  • Represent first escalation level for customer

  • Understand internal and external customer satisfaction status

  • Evaluate risks (cost, quality, capacity, technical and timing) in projects through internal project audits (Audit project management, audit product & process development, 3SPV) and start and follow-up action plans to avoid any customer dissatisfaction / escalation

  • Close cooperation with Supplier Quality Development and Launch Teams to assure the APQP deployment throughout the entire Supply Chain

  • Build effective working relationships with all relevant customer representatives to clarify and discuss APQP, timing, CSR’s and any quality related question / issue / concern

  • Start and follow-up action plans to improve projects

  • Establish the Project Quality Plan PQP (for SDP projects) and execute the PQP accordingly

  • Support all Quality tasks in the project team according KBD, APQP and QAP’s and assure that all key milestones are being followed and executed on time with the required outputs

  • Coordinate the review of CSRs, Customer Interests and RASICs with a cross functional approach in the project teams throughout the complete launch phase.

  • Lead and ensure customers APQP, align, support and track QAP’s in the project.

  • Liaise with customer on APQP and PPAP to support project team with concern resolution

  • Support plant QA in PPAP / PSW submissions to customers including customer PSW approval

  • Lead and contribute to system and Design FMEA’s with customers

  • Initiate and moderate Reverse FMEA reviews in the plants with a cross functional team

  • Support and conduct process approval and [email protected] (MPT) with the manufacturing plant prior to customer SOP when necessary

  • Contribute to drawing reviews, design and process FMEA as the voice of the customer

  • Ensure lesson learned activities within the KBD and /or PIP process

  • Measure projects management deliverables in respect to quality assurance aspects according KBD and support project teams with concern resolution

  • Identify opportunities for Customer Focus Team improvements in the scope of work

  • Compile process maps and flow charts as required to support improvement activities

  • Training of quality tools and methods from KBD and /or PIP process in the project team.

The role of a Project Quality Engineer is to ensure a safe and smooth launch of a project to maintain customer satisfaction. The project quality engineer takes care that the activities within a project are carried out in accordance with the KBD process and all relevant KA processes and procedures. The project quality engineer supports the project teams in the relevant activities and supports an appropriate documentation. With regular audits, the execution of the projects shall be reviewed in line with our KBD process.
