Provide technical direction to the team for a propeller tooling program to meet customer deliverables.
Establish the technical requirements, objectives to support project leader in project scheduling.
Work directly on the Dowty Propellers Site (Brockworth, UK, http://dowty.com).
Interfere with the Customer on daily basics. Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Teams to execute a propeller tooling program.
Ensure proper documentation of technical data.
Discuss technical challenges and take a part in development of propellers tooling design.
Monitor and communicate project status.
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
Commitment to team effort.
Taking care of meeting export control requirements (UK/PL tagger).
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Significant experience and understanding of the mechanical design.
Experience in 3D part modeling and 2D drawing preparation.
Catia software knowledge and experience (ProE/Creo software knowledge would be an advantage).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques and typical aerospace materials would be an advantage).
Knowledge of propellers and propellers systems design would be an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to guide and influence others.
Demonstrated high written and verbal communication skills (good English language skill: reading, speaking and writing).
Ability to prioritize and lead sub-projects.
Demonstrated ability to complete projects within given resource and time constraints.
Ability to work with global team members across cultural boundaries.
Ability and availability to travel (UK).
