Your responsibilities
Become part of our new ISS Finance Service Center office in Gdańsk. As a Cash & Payment PTP Associate you will be responsible for ensuring that all payments of 3rd party supplier and subcontractor invoices and employee expenses are paid in accordance with SLA, payment terms and Prompt Payment Code. They will process payments for all business units as per the defined payment schedule, manage exceptional payment requests and ensure full allocation of all items at the point of payment and more.
As ISS Finance Service Center, we provide Finance & Accounting services to European countries. Core services include cover Accounting (R2R), Customer billing, banking & reporting (O2C) and Accounts Payables activities (P2P). ISS FSC is on an exciting journey to expand the offer of provided services along with a wider scope of PTP activities.
What you will do:
•Processing of 3rd party supplier/sub-contractor and employees scheduled BACS payment runs in accordance with HMRC and ISS Policy
•Daily clearing of BACS/CHAPS payments
•Daily clearing of Direct Debit payments against invoices with follow up where invoices are not received
•Full review of manual payment requests in accordance with ISS policy
•Prioritisation of high value/high risk unallocated items to target for clearance based upon impact to P&L
•Interrogation of ledgers, sub systems and back up documentation to enable matchings/clear downs of aged items
•Resolution in line with project timeliness, with root cause and recommendations to drive best practice processes going forwards
•Escalation of key risk items to senior management
•Re-education of business users to drive adherence to process and best practice
•Ensuring review, processing or rejections of any Manual Payment requests are completed within a timely manner to facilitate prompt payments
•Daily posting and clearing of any open cash book entries pertaining to P2P
•Communication to and re-education of business users to drive adherence to policy
•Support initiatives to drive greater efficiencies in payments and cash allocation processes
•Timely response to any escalated payment requests with root cause and recommendations to drive best practice
•Participate as required as a team member in other special projects
•To carry out any other ad-hoc duties, as and when required
Our requirements
Professional skills you possess:
•A university degree, preferably in finance and accounting, or the last year of studies
•More than one year of professional experience in Cash and Payment or in a similar position (Supplier Payments/Cash Allocation/Accounts Payable)
•Experience of BACS/CHAPS/Banking systems
•Knowledge across Procure to Pay processes
•Prior experience of working with an outsourced Finance Shared Service Centre is preferable but not mandatory
•Very good knowledge of English in speech and writing, allowing for easy communication with external and internal English-speaking clients

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to tight deadlines
