Your responsibilities

  • Place materials purchase orders/contracts in-line with supplier lead-times to meet multiple factory production plan requirements in SAP and Rapid Response system

  • Ensure period of material cover is sufficient, whilst maintaining target inventory levels and optimal supplier price

  • Maintain target stock levels within the factory

  • Execute all cost reduction activities initiated by procurement, factory, etc.

  • Responsible for materials inventory performance for assigned DRBU factories / material groups as per agreed targets

  • Arrange delivery of materials with the supplier to the factory and where necessary resolve any logistics issues

  • Input master data into SAP and Rapid Response system for new materials

  • Explore opportunities for improved planning efficiency and placing of materials orders

  • To work with the Production Planning team when a material shortage is identified to ensure the issue is resolved quickly with minimum impact to the factory

  • Working with other teams and departments to implement the phase in and out of new/old materials as part of a controlled process (achieving agreed deadlines with minimum cost)

  • To liaise with suppliers on an ongoing basis to reserve production capacity (by providing material forecasts) to meet future supply requirements for multiple factories

  • Highlight serious supplier issues and work with the management team to resolve issues quickly and with minimal impact to the business

  • Responsible for monitoring and actioning inventory at risk of obsolesce and drive improvements to drive the reduction of working capital and write offs through active engagement with stakeholders

  • Deputize in the absence of the Area Supplier Manager for materials planning related activities

  • Ensure activities within Weekly Control Cycle process are executed on time in full

Our requirements

  • 2-5 years experience across Planning, Procurement, NPI

  • Excellent analytical and planning skills

  • Good English proficiency

  • High knowledge in Excel

  • Good Supply Chain and materials purchasing knowledge (process, metrics)

  • BS in Industrial Engineering , Business Administration, Supply Chain, or any equivalent qualifications.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills

  • To work unsupervised and under pressure

  • Good organizational and prioritization skills

  • Developing teams and individuals

  • Evidence of leadership capabilities

Optional

  • Knowledge in SAP desired

  • Knowledge in Rapid Response

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

Responsible to ensure that the raw material requirements of the factories are met with no interruption to supply continuity.

To work closely with internal and external stakeholders raising and expediting material orders to mitigate potential issues and avoid any production disruption. Execute activities to support the delivery of Cash, Cost, Service, and SNO KPIs for the Region.

Key role to ensure production continuity in the factory and avoid any out of stocks of finished goods in the End Markets.
