Your responsibilities
Review of purchase requisitions for material purchases including raw materials and finished product to support Production
Work with suppliers to meet production schedule requirement dates
Conduct price, delivery, and terms contract negotiations
Conduct safety stock analysis to maximize inventory turns and eliminate stock outages
Maintain and improve key supplier relationships, with an emphasis on reducing and improving lead time
Identify and execute cost savings projects including make vs. buy, leverage buy vs. JIT, and total supply chain cost analysis in a high custom mix/low volume environment
Prepare for and represent the Purchasing department in various meetings, including weekly production meetings
Support Purchasing Manager EMEA in required tasks
Our requirements
REQUIRMENTS
• English min B1
• German min B2
• APICS certification is a plus
• Lean manufacturing production and planning methods is a plus
• Domestic and International sourcing
• High emphasis on people skills required to work with cross-functional departments and teams
• Problem solving and preventing skills a must
• proALPHA or similar ERP system
• Microsoft Office skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Economic or Technology University Degree with 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing purchasing and supply environment.

About a job:
Maxcess is currently accepting resumes for a Purchasing Specialist. This position is located in our Polish factory in Bugaj.
This position is instrumental in developing and maintaining key supply chain processes in a custom engineered high product mix environment. The right candidate for this challenging role will possess leadership characteristics, a positive attitude, and be a member of interdepartmental teams. Strong emphasis will be placed on a sense of urgency to meet commitment dates while developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and customers, both internal and external. The person who fills this role will help determine inventory stocking levels and help to avoid stock-outs on key items.
This position reports to the Purchasing Manager EMEA.
