About the project
For a project with our client 1010data we are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with Cypress. 1010data travels at the speed of thought to make Big Data discovery easy; they power sub-second responses to analyses run on billions of rows of data. 1010data is defining the way the world interacts with data. With more than 30 trillion rows of data in the private cloud, 1010data is designed to scale to the largest volumes of granular data, the most disparate and varied data sets, and the most complex advanced analytics. All while delivering lightning-quick system performance. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for performing tests using Cypress, maintaining existing applications as well as developing new testing applications. You will take care of extending coverage tests, adding new features, products and sub-products. On the daily basis, you are going to cooperate with the Developers team. Also, you will work on visualization projects. In some cases, you will be taking part in defining and performing manual tests.
As our client is based in the US, we normally start at 12 PM.
Your responsibilities
Maintenance of existing and development of new testing applications and frameworks;
Code development and reviews;
Design and execution of smoke, integration, and regression tests for various projects;
Taking part in defining manual and automated test approaches for internal applications and end-user deliverables;
Data Warehouses and Cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS) test automation;
Collaboration with DevOps on environment setup.
Our requirements
3+ years of hands-on automated testing with Cypress;
Fluency in JavaScript and familiarity with Python;
Experience in testing REST API calls;
Strong understanding of REST/HTTP/SOAP and JSON;
Experience in using JIRA, CI/CD tools, Git, SVN;
Ability to set up test environments (Docker, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins);
Experience with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD);
Experience in testing all layers of a web application, including front-end, back-end, and microservices.
