Your responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and manage a framework of food safety quality system, which will be implemented in all plants of the Company

  • Manage the direct-reporting personnel, ensuring continuing professional development, training, and overall employee well-being at all facilities.

  • Provide scientific expertise and serve as an expert for programs and activities related to food safety/microbiology, regulations, and quality systems.

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance for quality related functions at all manufacturing facilities, co-manufactures and warehouses.

  • Lead the NPD aspects for testing and releasing new and modified products.

  • Provide strategic leadership, guidance, and risk management for food safety and quality programs and systems to include, but not limited to, HACCP, Preventative Controls, IFS and other BRC-related programs, and customer or 3rd party audit-driven requirements and policies.

  • Oversee all plant HACCP, pre-requisite quality programs, and all quality/food safety related programs to meet regulatory and/or customer requirements

  • Assure sampling for raw, WIP and finished product in compliance with label and specification declarations.

  • Oversee plant sanitation programs, operational programs to ensure sanitary standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements for food manufacturing

  • Provide technical support to corporate senior management, Sales and Production Management.

  • Maintain shelf life requirements and monitoring programs to show continuous improvement.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of statistical process controls. Ability to drive continuous improvement with Quality Programs.

  • Support Continuous Improvement with standardized work, problem solving and utilizing real time tools to predict quality attributes. Lead implementation of SPC, control charts, visual management, and other lean manufacturing tools.

  • Champion quality and food safety initiatives to create a Food Safety culture and mindset.

Our requirements

  • Master Degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or closely related disciplines preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise of Food Safety, Quality, and Sanitation practices required; graduate degree

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in quality assurance management and food manufacturing.

  • HACCP Certified with a comprehensive knowledge of Microbiology and Shelf Life programs

  • Must be willing to travel as needed to support business needs; 25 - 40%

  • Complete knowledge and experience developing and managing HACCP, Preventative Controls, IFS and/or other BRC and customer-driven quality and food safety requirements and programs.

  • Excellent team building, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated success managing and or supervising multi-disciplinary teams and programs.

  • Must be a professional, customer driven manager of producing high quality food products while achieving company objectives

  • Strong leadership and management skills in a high paced environment.

  • English proficiency, other languages will be the additional advantage.

Fast growing international food manufacturing company is looking for a candidate who will hold the function of Quality Manager. As a chosen person, you will be responsible for leading Total Quality Management of our Company and our manufacturing plants located in Poland and abroad, reporting to GM of the Company.

You will provide company-wide leadership and direction for our quality standards and food safety. You will assure our quality systems are well defined and deployed, and the product quality is consistent and meets external and internal requirements.
