Your responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate performing of VAT checks related to posted invoices according to process documentation.

  • Provide tax reports, manage tax issues and support closing activities related to tax processes, perform closing activities for VAT / CIT (appropriately monthly and yearly).

  • Prepare data for tax declarations, completion of forms and submit of required fiscal reports:

  • - Preparing and providing data for VAT

  • - Preparing and providing data for WHT

  • - VAT/WHT declarations submission

  • Gather relevant data and supporting documentation in tax compliance process.

  • Supporting daily operations in terms of VAT compliance process.

  • Preparation and extraction of VAT related analysis and reports.

  • Preparation of reconciliation of VAT accounts.

  • VAT determination for purchase invoices (VAT coding).

  • Preparation and submission of WHT declarations.

  • Assistance in tax audits.

  • Comply with tax operational standards and procedures.

  • Ensure alignment between indirect Tax filings, EU Sales Listing and ERP-System and other systems.

  • Participate actively in meetings with our business partners (legal, business finance, IT and accounting teams) to share information and address various business initiatives.

  • Challenging and reviewing current processes, process improvements.

  • Support in solving, follow up on issues and looking for solutions across team.

  • Personal drive on high level - looking for improvements, motivating others, stimulating to act.

Our requirements

  • 4-5 years’ experience in tax compliance, tax accounting

  • University degree preferable in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant degree

  • English B2

  • German B2

  • Knowledge of German tax law/ working experience in German tax advisory would be an advantage.

  • Fundamental tax and accounting knowledge.

  • Experience in SAP would be beneficial.

  • Experience in MS Office.

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with Finance and non-Finance staff at various levels.

  • Very strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex tasks.

  • Advanced level of capability to translate digital technologies into processes.
