About the project
As a cyber security consultant in the VELUX Group, you have the responsibility for supporting our companies in Europe in their IT security work and for ensuring the sufficient and effective level of security is assessed across projects and systems in cooperation with the rest of the Global IT Security team in VELUX. You will be working closely together with the local Digital Operations Team and management representatives at our companies as well as with other teams in the IT organization.
Sparring with projects and product owners in the Sales&Marketing companies regarding security aspects in their systems
Perform security assessments of systems/solutions according to VELUX standards
Coordinate and run the company “security organisation” (ISMS) involving local management including planning, reporting on compliance with controls etc.
Review of implementation of key controls
Ensure that procedures for all key controls are in place, updated and approved by the regional manager and known by stakeholders, and that the procedures are implemented
Supporting the local GDPR team regarding security related aspects
Participation in audit and controlling activities covering the region (CEE) you are responsible for (being controlled) but also performing controlling of other companies
It is a prerequisite that you communicate fluently in English – both vocal and written – since this is our formal company language.
Solid experience with making IT security risks/requirements understandable for IT and Business Solution Architects.
“Can do attitude”, are a strong communicator with a high level of personal integrity and taking responsibility for driving your own work while at the same time being a team-player.
Collaborative approach and ability to build and maintain a good working relation across the professional spheres and management levels in an organization.
It is a plus if you have consulting experience and experience with several of the IT security and risk standards e.g. ISO 2700x, NIST CSF and CIS and ensuring compliance with these.
It is an advantage if you have an education within IT and relevant security/risk certifications e.g. SSCP or CISSP, CISA, CRISC or the like.
Good communication skills – orally and in writing.

We offer a position based in one of our CEE office locations (e.g. Budapest – Hungary, Warsaw – Poland). You do not have to be on site five days a week, but we believe that physical presence, strong teamwork and collaboration enforces the ability to create results. You should expect to travel app. 20 days annually – both nationally and internationally.
