On behalf of a US-based global manufacturer of medical devices with the total revenue exceeding US$ 2 billion and fast growing European operations following a recent acquisition in Poland, we are looking for a strong financial manager with experience in the medical device manufacturing industry to fill the position of Regional Finance Director. The position will report directly to Global Vice President Finance in the US and EMEA Regional Operations Director in the UK and will liaise closely with the major stakeholders and senior management of the group.
Your responsibilities
Financial control, management and support for several EMEA manufacturing sites and management teams as part of post-acquisition integration
Managing and developing the team of plant controllers across EMEA manufacturing sites
Maintaining strict internal control of all plant financial functions as a member of the Global Operations leadership team
Converting the operational strategy into annual plans and developing tactics to drive improvements on an on-going basis
Providing insights and knowledge on operational costs to achieve world class standards
Driving standardization and automation of reporting across the group (Oracle ERP)
Supporting new product introduction projects in order to maintain the company’s competitive edge in the global medical device market
Managing a broad range of activities in close collaboration with Global Vice President Finance and EMEA Regional Operations Director
Internal contacts including senior management within the company Medical Operations, Regional Finance, Service and Repair, Sales, Marketing and Internal Audit, Quality, Regulatory, HR and Engineering
External contacts including financial and systems auditors, contractors, suppliers and customers
Employer requirements
Degree in Finance or Accounting and/or Accounting qualification
Financial accounting experience in a medical device manufacturing setting
Experience with standard costing, plant financial management and FP&A
Solid knowledge of Polish statutory accounting requirements, US GAAP and IFRS
Knowledge and experience maintaining and enforcing internal controls
Ability to influence senior cross-functional teams
Strong working knowledge of large-scale ERPs (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft applications with large manufacturing companies
