Your responsibilities

  • Managing and developing a team of logistics managers by results of KPIs and supplier reports

  • First escalation level and liaison between Management service provider and zooplus (key account management)

  • Analyzing service levels and continuous improvement of warehouse processes and cost in cooperation with the logistics service providers

  • Conducting Business and Metrics Reviews with the logistics service providers

  • Driving or Supporting contract negotiations

  • Driving zooplus quality expectations and standards together with our external Logistics-Service-Provider

  • Collaborating with service provider and Engineering team to investigate further capacity increase projects

  • Supporting and leading projects related to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

  • Leading and participation in cross-functional projects, like e.g. FC launches

  • Contributing in the development of new processes and standards and implementing them

Our requirements

  • Degree in economics or engeneering with logistics/ SCM specialization or comparable education

  • At least 5 years working experience in 3rd party logistics on provider and/or customer side (e-commerce/ B2C preferred) or experience leading as site leader of a warehouse

  • Profound methodological competence in the area of process and material flow analysis respectively intralogistics

  • Solid people management skill

  • Lean Management / Six Sigma experience

  • Sound understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes and technical requirements

  • Analytical, process oriented and data driven (Excel must be, Access, SQL preferred)

  • High mobility, willing to travel

  • Excellent in English language spoken & written; German preferable

  • Strong in the areas of planning and organizing and good knowledge from the standard MS Office programs

Job description

In order to be able to supply our customers across Europe quickly and in accordance with our quality standards, our European Fulfillment (FC) centers are an integral part of the zooplus network. Zooplus is operating multiple FCs in all parts of Europe via Logistics Service Providers and launching every year new FCs. The Regional Manager will be responsible for multiple FCs in multiple countries.

In this function, the manager understands the FCs as a holistic process that begins in the inbound management and ends with the satisfaction of the customer at his doorstep. With on-site teams in almost all FCs the manager is responsible for ensuring that the daily tasks and challenges between the highest customer service, quality, punctuality, efficiency and cost optimization are successfully coped with. The Regional Manager will take care of projects and owns the relationshipmanagement with the Logistic Service Providers.

In addition the Regional Manager will lead a team of Expe®ts. Zooplus Expe®ts are sub matter experts for areas like returns, inbound, outbound etc. responsible for developing standards, KPIs, tools and dashboards in the sub mater area. The Expe®ts are the drivers of continuous improvement and cost savings projects.
