Your responsibilities
- Lead in creating, defining, and implementing site-specific OT improvement plans at Barry Callebaut production plants, in accordance with the global roadmap for OT security and standardization. The goal is to achieve compliance with global OT standards. This implies changes in people, processes, and technology.
- Support BC production sites during troubleshooting and incident response in case of an OT (security) incident (= level of escalation).
- Evaluate the level of compliance to global OT standards of BC production sites, and define gap analysis and remediation plans.
- Support regional and local E&A engineering teams in implementing OT standards in growth and productivity projects.
- Increase awareness, educate, and advocate for OT Security at the regional and local levels.
- Participate in expert communities with OT professionals working at local, regional, and global levels.
Our requirements
- A Master's degree in engineering/automation specialization will be a plus.
- 5+ years’ experience of working in an industrial automation (OT) environment.
- Knowledge of OT systems, networks, components, and protocols.
- Familiar with international standards for industrial cyber security (ISO27001, NIST, IEC62443).
- Excellent knowledge of English.
- Experience in managing complex projects.
- Strong communicator, able to interact with various stakeholders, often with different business objectives and operating at different levels in the organization (global, regional, local).
- Strong organization skills, setting up and managing multiple projects in parallel.
- Motivated to bring change to an organization.
- Prepared to travel (approx. 30%).

Standardized, secured, and monitored Operational Technology provides the backbone for a safe, reliable, and trusted production process. It decreases the risk of a security breach and as such avoids financial loss and reputational damage. Furthermore, it is the core of any digital industrial application and therefore a necessity for growth in digitalization.
The mission of a Regional Operational Technology Systems Engineer is to implement the change projects that will bring the aspired security levels to Barry Callebaut and contribute to realizing the Go4Zero vision. Direct internal stakeholders are plant managers, site OT champions, regional E&A managers and project engineers, and regional and local IT teams.
