Responsibilities

Working within Chief Risk Office (CRO), the Regulatory Compliance Assessment Management Team, of which the Regulatory Compliance Assessment Coordinator is a part, has the primary responsibility of managing the Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 regulatory compliance assessment process globally. The role consists of:

  • Managing the end-to-end regulatory compliance assessment process, including:
  • Setting up compliance assessment templates including identifying the relevant rules for the legal entities in scope and assigning owners who will complete the assessment.
  • Coordinating the compliance assessment, working with stakeholders to collate and provide initial review of responses.
  • Working with the team’s Regulatory Specialists to review and clarify responses and to aid with rule interpretation issues.
  • Facilitating “Quality Assurance” panels to assist in resolving issues where there are questions over rule interpretation and / or the level of compliance. Taking minutes of QA panels and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Obtaining sign-offs on the completed assessments from relevant owners.
  • Providing weekly status reports to the Team Lead and senior risk management on overall completion of responses, current levels of compliance, remediation plans.
  • Preparing summary review packs on compliance assessments for senior risk management.
  • Working with internal and external audit on both the compliance assessment process, and assessment outcomes.

We are looking for

Must have:
  • Total 5+ years’ proven experience, with at least 3+ in banking/consultancy within risk management, internal audit, compliance, legal, finance, or with a banking regulator.
  • Proven organisation and coordination skills in engaging senior business partners, tracking progress and ensuring delivery against strict timelines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to work closely with all levels within an organisation.
  • High attention to detail, legalistic mind-set, excellent drafting and English comprehension skills. Ability to challenge quality/consistency of documents.
  • Proven ability to manage and produce high quality, accurate work, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively, particularly with teams in different geographic locations.
  • Good end-user proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • English fluency.

Preferable:

  • MS Access and MS SharePoint proficiency.
  • Project management background or qualification.
  • Interest in and knowledge of the risk-related regulatory framework especially with regard to risk capital models and ICAAP.
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives.
