Your responsibilities
Provide review and challenge of the monthly and quarterly capital adequacy calculations for IG Group and its regulated subsidiaries in the UK & Europe for submission to the Regulator.
Carry out thematic reviews of compliance with regulatory capital and other prudential requirements in all regulated jurisdictions globally.
Support Business Controllers to understanding the drivers of regulatory financial requirements, explaining movements and recommending actions to maintain and improve both compliance and efficiency.
Produce analysis of Regulatory Capital requirements and build modelling of requirements for new jurisdictions and products and new upcoming prudential risk and capital related regulations
Prepare Capital forecasting and scenario stress testing for use in the annual ICARA process.
Support the implementation, improvement and operation of Regulatory Capital technology, related data and infrastructure.
Our requirements
Degree-level education with strong quantitative / financial mathematics focus, statistics, econometrics and/or related disciplines
Recent experience working with UK (FCA), and EU prudential regulations and reporting requirements
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to digest complex regulatory texts and interpret their impact at proposal stage and throughout the legislative process
Polished report-writing and presentation skills
Experience working with Derivative Financial Instruments which IG offers to its clients and uses for hedging risk exposures.
Part Qualified Accountant (UK ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equiv.)
Experience in financial markets prudential regulation in other major global jurisdictions outside the UK/EU, e.g. Singapore, USA, Hong Kong
Change experience, particularly execution of business acceptance tests.
Finance / Risk background strongly preferred, however candidates with relevant experience in trading financial instruments, or internal / external audit functions will also be considered.
Experience working with complex datasets, including use of data extraction and transformation tools & programming techniques, e.g. Python (Pandas) & SQL

IG is seeking to recruit a Regulatory Capital Analyst within the Group Regulatory Capital team, acting as part of the 2nd line monitoring function of the Groups regulatory capital requirements, prudential compliance monitoring and internal/external regulatory reporting.
