Active and proactive engagement in the team’s various regulatory and internal Bank projects impacting the team, from research and the production of memos to assisting with change management and implementation
Participation and effective reporting for several of the committees within the remit of the team
Coordination of the team’s internal and external reporting
Supporting the implementation of RC programmes (eg conduct risk maturity) to quantify impacts and take actions to address, manage and mitigate regulatory change impacts on designated H/GFs
Reviewing, drafting and coordinating (as appropriate) the implementation of global standards and strategic policies which ensure designated H/GFs exposure to current risks and emerging arising risk is managed appropriately
Liaison with relevant stakeholders to provide expertise and support on H/GFs related matters
Ensuring the appropriate timely and relevant risk information is reported and escalated accordingly
Working as part of an effective team through communication, cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand and improves employee engagement
Degree in law, economics, accountancy or similar field
Strong analytical skills and the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and clearly articulated justifications
Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to think laterally and solve problems
Understanding or experience working with retail, wealth, insurance, or asset management products and services
Knowledge or experience in risk management or regulatory compliance an asset
Working in a major financial institution, within a matrix environment, including reporting internationally
High level of professional and personal integrity
Proficiency in MS Office: excel and/or power point skills are highly desirable
Proficiency in French and English

The DBS AND GF RC MANAGER, EUROPE role is based within Risk & Compliance (part of Global Regulatory Compliance, DBS & Global Functions).
The DBS AND GF RC MANAGER, EUROPE is a risk management / advisory support role with responsibility for supporting the Head of Regulatory Compliance, DBS & Global Functions Europe and other Regulatory Compliance (RC) team members in their responsibilities to provide RC oversight and challenge of relevant aspects of DBS & Global Functions.
The role holder will be required to interact with colleagues at all levels within the organisation in supporting impact analysis activities and providing advice on day to day issues arising, including conduct and regulatory changes. The role holder will also be required to collaborate with RC DBS/GF colleagues to oversight the co-ordination and execution of the various RC change management work streams while ensuring quality assurance and alignment with Global Standards. The role holder will be responsible for quality checking relevant management information for Risk Management Meetings attended by the Head of Europe RC DBS/GFs.
