Your responsibilities
Developing re-usable components, services and libraries to be used in large research applications
Optimizing components and services for maximum performance
Implementing new customer facing features using React.js
Staying abreast of current trends and technologies, introducing them into the internal development process
Interacting with business and technical partners to guide the software development process
Interviewing, selecting and onboarding (offshore) developers
Occasionally interviewing candidates for staff positions
Our requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience, from a four-year college or university, or equivalent
Familiarity with TypeScript and new specifications of EcmaScript
2 or more years of experience developing with front-end technologies and/or front-end frameworks such as React.js
Passionate about latest trends in service-oriented technology with a strong desire for innovation
Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
Leadership skills, communication and persuasion skills
Optional
Experience with RESTful/OData services and development frameworks
Experience with AWS cloud technologies
Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies
Understanding of DevOps principles
Experience in content retrieval, search, or publishing systems
Experience working with offshore developers
