About the project
📌 Building a digital challenger bank in Saudi Arabia. The Company is in the process of applying for a digital-only banking license from the Saudi Central Bank. The current phase is focused on the submission of a high-confidence application and detailed technology design.
Our client cooperates with partnering technology teams, in order to achieve superior quality of newly developed banking products. They are now considering adding to their team exceptional data engineers and managers from the banking field. They are looking for professionals, who are gifted and experienced at working in sprints in an agile environment.
Your responsibilities
Role's description
👌 The Data Engineer will be an essential part of a data-driven environment, collaborating with the Head of Data Engineering and data professionals to enhance the company's data infrastructure and processing capabilities
👌 Assisting in the creation and maintenance of the Company's comprehensive Big Data Platform
👌 Supporting the implementation of innovative Data Science Models
👌 Aiding in the infrastructure management of vast amounts of data collected
👌 Cooperating with the Head of Data Engineering, CTO, and Software Engineering team
This role is ideal for a motivated Data Engineer with a background in rapidly expanding scale-up companies or large corporations, looking to embrace greater responsibility, and independence, and contribute to the growth of technology and a team from the ground up
What you'll be doing
💪 Design and develop data pipelines and APIs using Python/Java and SQL on cloud infrastructure
💪 Implement batch integration and transformation pipelines using Airflow, Airbyte, and DBT
💪 Establish real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka and Flink
💪 Collaborate in the creation and training of models addressing data-related business scenarios
💪 Apply an analytical, data-focused approach to gain insights into the evolving business environment
💪 Build Staging Layers and Data Marts to support advanced analytics
💪 Assist in managing the Data platform
Our requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in software development for data-centric projects
Proficiency in SQL and expertise in data integration tools such as Airflow, Airbyte, and DBT
Experience with streaming technologies like Apache Kafka and Flink
Knowledge of cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes
Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python
