Reporting & Insight Analyst

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver day to day reporting services to support Global Transformation Management and the wider Group Transformation community
  • Deliver complex standard and ad-hoc reports that are aligned with prescribed Reporting and Insights processes, guidelines, frameworks and data requirements
  • Deliver ad-hoc data requests and insight, in a transparent, prioritized and efficient way, seeking standardization in line with guidelines and frameworks
  • Collect and collate data according to standard data definitions from multiple sources, identifying and resolving data gaps and inconsistencies
  • Deliver insight outputs aligned to the Insights framework
  • Contribute to the growth of the standard reporting and insights service catalogues, in line with service demands from GB/GF and other stakeholders
  • Help drive data consistency across multiple sources and ensure compliance to minimum standard data definitions
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to a set of HOST-wide rules and expectations on the frequency, type and accuracy of portfolio, programme and project data inputs
  • Assist in the support of the build out of the standardised reporting spine to ensure the ‘single version of truth’ and its on-going maintenance to eliminate mismatch of reported management information
  • Support smooth and efficient cooperation with Tech and Development teams
  • Perform reporting and insight duties adhering to report standards and templates
  • Support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives, together with key stakeholders
  • Collect reporting and insights data to track relevant Operational Scorecard metrics
  • Reports and insights produced to agreed SLAs
  • Work with relevant parties to address service quality issues and any variances in actual performance against agreed SLAs / PLAs
  • Deliver portfolio, programme and project reporting to key stakeholders within agreed deadlines
  • Deliver Global Transformation Management Information to key stakeholders within agreed deadlines
  • Proactively suggest process standardisation / opportunities for automation
  • Contribute to the drive for adherence to Reporting frameworks, data definitions, requirements and tools
  • Produce reports in line with report standards and templates

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) concepts
  • Good understanding of Global Transformation frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques
  • Good understanding of how to translate Business requirements to report functionalities for Development team to deliver
  • Good understanding and operational knowledge of Global Transformation toolset, specifically Clarity and GPDM
  • A very good understanding of the purpose, culture and fundamentals of the Global Transformation
  • Good understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes and objectives
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office – especially MS Excel
  • Good understanding of operational portfolio, programme and project reporting and MI
  • Strong understanding of HSBC structures, processes and objectives across the Group
  • Wide knowledge of HOST – functionally and operationally
  • Evidence of ability to work in cross-geographical teams
  • Proven ability to support change implementation activities
  • Strong understanding, analyzing and interpreting skills when working with information (both financial or non-financial)and variance reporting
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
