Reporting & Insight Manager
(Global Transformation)
Global Transformation is a dedicated team that helps shape and implements strategic change for HSBC. Key Accountabilities:

Regular Reporting:

  • Key contributor in documenting and communicating Reporting and Insight processes, guidelines, frameworks and data requirements to the Global Transformation community
  • Ensure the day to day delivery of reporting services to support Global Transformation Management Services and the wider Global Transformation community
  • Ensure smooth and efficient delivery of reports and insights produced to agreed SLAs
  • Cooperate with Global Transformation Management in developing and monitoring of management information and trends

Reporting centralization and standardization:

  • Help drive data consistency across multiple sources and ensure compliance to minimum standard data definitions
  • Be a key contributor in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the centralized reporting and insight support services provided to stakeholders
  • Support the build out of the standardized reporting spine to ensure the ‘single version of truth’ and its on-going maintenance to eliminate mismatch of reported management information
  • Ensure smooth and efficient cooperation with Tech and Development teams

Drive change in reporting area: 

  • Gather reporting requirements and manage stakeholder expectations according to agreed priorities and timelines
  • Design and embed reporting solutions for Global Transformation community according to stakeholders’ needs
  • Support implementation process for new reporting solutions by providing user guides and organizing presentations, workshops or drop-in sessions
  • Support Significant Change Programmes from reporting perspective both by delivering regular reporting and design reporting solutions tailored to specific programmes’ needs

Reporting and Insight processes management and administration:

  • Manage reporting and insight processes and escalation routes, including processes to manage and escalate (when necessary) standard and ad-hoc requests
  • Support the Senior Reporting and Insight Manager to manage and grow the standard Reporting and Insights service catalogues
  • Support the monitoring of Reporting and Insights performance against relevant Operational Scorecard metrics, agreed SLAs
  • Support the delivery and management of the Insights framework that meets the needs of stakeholders, including robust analysis to challenge results and drive necessary change


  • Good knowledge of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) concepts
  • Excellent understanding of how to translate Business requirements to report functionalities for Development team to deliver
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel incl. basics of VBA)
  • Excellent understanding of operational portfolio, programme and project reporting and MI
  • Evidence of ability to work with and lead cross-geographical teams
  • Evidence of ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
  • Proven ability to manage change implementation activities
  • Strong understanding, analyzing and interpreting skills when working with information (both financial or non-financial) and variance reporting
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Additional Requirements (Optional):

  • Excellent understanding of Global Transformation frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques
  • Excellent understanding and operational knowledge of Global Transformation toolset, specifically Clarity and GPDM
  • A thorough understanding of the purpose, culture and fundamentals of the Global Transformation
  • Good understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes and objectives
  • Strong understanding of HSBC structures, processes and objectives across the Group
  • Wide knowledge of HOST – functionally and operationally
