Your responsibilities

  • Mentoring and coaching direct reports and ensuring there is an embedded culture of appropriate reward and development

  • Ensuring direct reports have the appropriate skills and tools to be able to provide an effective resource against service demand and are at the top of their game in terms of Resourcing skills in relation to sourcing, selection, assessment and offer.

  • Setting appropriate tone and expectations with team and working in collaboration with risk and control partners and customers alike

  • Ensuring the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensuring that any holders of critical process steps are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles and that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate risks

  • Employ, engage and retain high quality people with succession planning for all, prioritising critical roles

  • Setting and monitoring job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and providing feedback and reward in line with performance against responsibilities and objectives

  • Creating and maintaining a culture of open communication at all levels which subsequently filters through to excellent customer engagement

  • Working closely with direct reports to ensure all roles are success planned and that there is a robust approach to workload distribution, ensuring healthy workload balances

  • Ensuring policy, process and system knowledge and capability are at the highest level

  • Adopting a continuous improvement approach

  • Coordinating end to end recruitment processes for selected roles - from defining the needs, through sourcing & selection process up until the offering process

  • Designing and delivering innovative sourcing strategies and solutions to meet business grown needs and generate diverse pools of applicants while closely controlling cost bases

Our requirements

  • Proven recruitment experience (in-house or search firm) of contingency and multi-channel recruitment, with a successful track record in effective job filling within a complex recruitment model / environment

  • Previous experience as line manager within the recruitment area

  • Readiness to work between 12 and 8pm local Pl time

  • Previous experience at recruiting for Americas - nice to have

  • Understanding and experience of developing sourcing strategies and managing multiple recruitment channels to deliver recruitment targets within budget

  • Right to work in Poland

  • Consulting / diagnostic skills (e.g. probing to identify underlying needs, effective questioning to provoke broader thinking about resource requirements, capability gaps etc.)

  • Sound communication and influencing skills, enabling the role holder to network effectively, establish credibility quickly, build sustainable relationships, relate to candidates and Hiring Managers, effectively sell Standard Chartered Bank to individuals

  • Sound reasoning skills

  • Track record of working in a very organized way, multi-tasking, prioritising, managing data, and setting and achieving deadlines (both short and medium term)

  • Experience of analysing recruitment management information and using this to identify and initiate improvements

  • Knowledge of / exposure to relevant employment legislation (e.g. data protection)

  • Ownership & goal orientation

  • Fluency at English
